The mission of the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is to provide cutting-edge evidence-based care to critically ill patients, to advance knowledge through biomedical research and to educate future leaders in critical care. During the first year, fellows develop a strong foundation in critical care knowledge and procedural skills through rotations in the MGH Medical ICU and the Finard ICU at BIDMC. These programs began more than 30 years ago and the vast majority of our graduates are committed to full-time careers in academic medicine and research. The Training Program in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital includes more than 50 faculty members and is supported by two NHLBI-sponsored training grants.
